For anyone interested... there's a 4140-S with a loader on ebay in Cornell, WI. (30 miles south of me) Listing says it has a 'heavy duty' Elenco front axle. Is there such a thing, or is it what any industrial would have gotten from Elenco? Just curious. |

Hello Ford , The axle Conversion under that later 4140 is the 3rd Design Elenco kit which was the latest and the greatest so it would be the most Heavy Duty also . Elenco had to keep making them better as the Ford Loaders got stronger and could lift more because they were breaking housings in the middle especially when you had a bunch of Cowboys in the seat and thought they had a 988 Cat instead of the Ford . Thanks Tony |

Thanks, Tony.
Maybe some day I'll buy an old Ford with an Elenco... But for now it falls under "like", not "need". |
