Take an extra 5 gallons. Cheap insurance, and you will have reason to use it, if not that day then soon. Jim

There will be room for the 5 gallons by the time you're done mowing, that's for sure.

You are pushing it. It will take most of the day for the 20 acres depending on how big the stuff is and what gear you can use. 21 gallons in an M will last maybe 7 hours. An H will go 7 hours +/- on 17 gallons at full load.

I can tell ya this that a S/MTA under a 319 new idea two row picker in decent corn if you start picking at 8 in the morning it will tell you when it is lunch time usually at the far end of the field just when your thinking just two more rows and the wagon will be full.

Yup, it will take a full day to mow that many acres, more if it is tall. I would take at least 5 gallons more with me.
