Just went and looked at a 2030 with a 146 loader.
Body was a little rough but engine had been
recently rebuilt, ran well and everything worked
as it should.
Looking in the trans fill hole I could hear a
spraying sound but couldn't see anything, pulled
the belly screen and the oil was filled with tiny
bubbles. Internal trans leak?
What's a good estimate on repair cost if that's the
case?

More than likely the RS control valves are leaking. JD utility tractors have a history of these valves leaking.
