Lots of variables here.
What do you plan to use it for?
Wide or narrow front end? ect. ect.
They are a good all around tractor. Some folks don't care for a gas engine tractor but here in WI I like an easy starting tractor when the temperature gets cold.
As for the hydra-power, talk with Mr. rrlund he just got the one in his 1600 fixed.
If the the tires are good I'd buy it. |

I feel that you have been offered a good deal, I bought mine a few years back for $2550, average condition. Mininal problems with it so far considering it"s almost 50 years old, but I don"t work it to death. |

Through some freak stroke of luck, mine fixed itself after 12 years of not being right. Mine wanted to slip in to underdrive all the time, rarely shifted up in to direct. I started pushing silage up the bunker without checking the fluid level. After about 4 days it started whining like crazy. I filled it with Merc/Dex combo fluid and it started working like a new one. Still is.
As far as $2700 for that one, maybe a touch on the high side (I"d have said $2500),but yea,a darned good tractor. They make a heck of a loader tractor or chore tractor around the cattle yard for darned sure. |

If it has a wide front, it is worth alittle more. I have a '65 model 1650 and would not give it up for anything even after having it over 20 years now.If it is not too bad of sheet metal, and appearance, I would go for it. you won't regret it. |
