the gehl baler is late 90ies model 2880 looks to be in great shape belts are all good can buy for 4500.00 is that a good price and are they good balers getting in to haying for first time just to cut my on . 500 bales year any help would be great thank you in advance. |

no way. Gehl out of ag biz. Rumor is that they will cease parts sales in 2014/2015. You can by a darn good JD or Vermeer rounder for that money and still have companies that will sell you parts. My 605H Vermeer rolls them good, twine tie and it cost me $2500.

I would not worry to much about parts avalibiliy. Belts, bearing,pickupteeth, joints, are going to be easy to get from your Local dealer and parts store. That is a really good price and if you were to buy a green red or yellow one thats close to the same will be twice as much. A 605h is out of the 80's so there is no comparison and break something serious on a machine that old and it will be hard to get parts for. |
