|
|
HI, I have a 1950t that was supposed to have a rebuilt engine in it when I bought the tractor. At start up it has 40lbs pressure, and when warm running a baler will drop to 28lbs. The other day I put it on a stalk chopper and was really working it, and the pressure would drop to 22lbs. Now where the oil galley pressure relief valve is supposed to be there is only a little plug that takes a small allen wrench. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks in advance. |

What are you using for oil? Do you have an engine serial number. It sounds like you have one of the replacement engines that does not have a conventional relief valve. Besides the was you describe it the releif valve is working as it should and you have an internal leak. Might be time to find Sher-lock Holmes and his bearing leak detector. |
