on a melroe 903 spring reset plow how do you adjust the trip tension there is a spacer and there was also some machine bushings are the machine bushings factory or did somebody add them latter just wondering if i can change that spacer to a shorter one or what?

If by trip tention you mean how much it takes to trip the bottoms that is adjusted by that P shaped piece that is between the trip mechanism and the main frame. Smaller = harder to trip. Don't know if new are still available, but if you want harder you could probly grind them down some. They are excelent plows, we used one for many years with no problems. |
