Any of you guys know if parts are available for this trans. I called our local NH dealer here in PA (Charlie Snyder). He said they can't get any parts for them. Tractor is a 62 4000

Many (not all) SOS parts are still available from CNH. A few parts are Ford automotive auto trans parts and are available from automotive transmission parts suppliers.
You should try another CNH dealer.

Most SOS transmission parts are listed on the CNH parts lists,
however they are marked as "no longer serviced" otherwise,
not available. I believe the 62 4000, is the older style SOS, 4
cyl engine. Depending on what you need, they will probably be
located out of used tranny's.

their is a used sos trans listed on craigslist wmspt pa.125.00.it has problems also dont know what you need or what is all bad in this one.just passing on information it is not mine.
