I have a "49 B with stamped rear wheels and would like to convert to cast centers. Which versions will I be able to make work?
Today I looked at an early styled A with a six bolt hub. Are axle hubs available to convert it to work with my B?
Thanks for the help. |

Go to a JUNK yard, they will have both the rear cast and the 6 bolt hubs, Get them from a*B* as the hubs are smaller . Then you have to also get the rims for the cast wheels. MONEY MONEY |

Are the castings the same size for an A and B?
Am I correct in understanding that the cast rims are 6 bolt? For some reason I was thinking the hubs would be 9 bolt, same as the stamped wheels.
I'm working on a trade to get the castings and I already have the rims to go over them. That leaves just getting the hubs, which might be included in the trade. Considering that the rims on the tractor right now are shot, I don't think this will be a bad upgrade. |

Mathias,
I have cast centers on my 49 B & they are 6-hole. Pretty sure the centers are also used on the A & maybe G. Watched a set of B centers & hubs sell today at an auction for $50! I was thinking about bidding but I didn't need them & had already bought too much other stuff anyway. |

The wheel center castings are the same EXCEPT the "A" has 8 studs drilled and tapped for the rim clamps and the "B" has just 4. Of course you need the correct hub to fit the axle. |
