As i shift the lever from forward to reverse i get get no movement.Was told to take relieve valve out fill with fluid while working the lever back and forth.Basically reprimeing the pump.This unit has set for atleast 2 years.I can hear a very faint whine sound when in forward or reverse but wont move. please advise.ps could the unit be bad if so how will i know? thank you. |

If that tractor has a free wheel lever so the tractor can be moved easier may be in that mode. Hydrostatic drive tractors usually have that feature. Hal
PS: My Wards tractor has that under the seat. |

Check the oil level, it should be up to the plug on the back of rear end. Change filter and check again. These units were pretty trouble free. Did someone tow the tractor? this could tear up the hydro. |

If it still has the origional check valves, make sure the two little pins on top are out. If stuck in the down position it will not drive. |
