I read post below...I too am looking at an 1155.
Few questions...anything specific to be wary of?
Been wanting a tractor with cab and air...how do
these cabs/air compare to others? Would this
tractor make a good round baling tractor...sure
would be nice not to have to eat dust baling for a
change! Are the rear ends/axles the same on an
1155 and an 1130? What is one worth in indiana?
Duals and cab...looks pretty decent. Seems some
love and some hate the V8s...your thoughts?
Thanks Reaver |

The cabs are pretty good for their time. Lots of space, decent visibility, the A/C I don't know, never had the luxury. The V8's are decent engines reliability wise, kinda fuel hungry though. The biggest problem with the 11x5 series of tractors is the hydraulic system. When it works its great, but the charge pump in the transmission housing tends to get worn and things go downhill. I ran an 1105 on a baler for a long time. Worked great if you could get your windrow the right size to run in first gear. Reverse is opposite in the shift pattern, almost as good as a shuttle shift! |
