Shernam combination step down/up transmission or a Howard gear reduction unit. The Sherman is relatively scarce and te Howard more so.

My Howard really is not that usefull on a day to day basic. I use it sometimes when mowing a tricky spot. Would be good for what it was made for. Rototiller!

I will have a hi/low sherman in the coming weeks.
It will give you 12 forwards and 3 reverses.

He has a 2N, so it will give him 9 forward and 3 reverse.

maw........NO CHANGE ring'n'pinion; 6:1.

Most Sherman's are OVERDRIVE so you end up going faster. There was a rare Sherman UNDERDRIVE. Most popular choice for "slower" gears is the Sherman 3-speed aux tranny.

Yer "cheapest and best" option to go slower is don't pull the throttle lever so high. Simple, eh? ........Dell
