Friend has 60 acres that he has planted in trees.
rutted up in spots so hard on front with the narrow
tires. Is their a rim off another tractor he can use
to put wider tires on front? Thanks for any info |

2 different rims were offered on the 8N. A real skinny 19 inch rim and a wired 16 inch rim.

The same bolt pattern - 6 on 6" was used on most Ford tractors all the way in to the 1990s.
Find a set of front rims from like a 5000 which will be much wider and put some used pickup tires on it.
You can also just buy some new rims.
These are some 14" I bought a few years ago to put on the front of my mowing tractor.
I run shorty rims and cheesey little car tires to get the nose down lower. You can buy them new in 14, 15 and 16" in various widths.

you can get wide and narrow 16" rims. common to run truck tires on them.. i have a set of truck tires on an 850 for laoder work.
might have to dish a rim if you get pretty wide... or it may rub on the spindle knee |

My '49 (second from left) has 16" rims. Makes it harder to steer than the '51 which has 19" tires.
