|
|
I had a great seat on my Jet Star 2. It did not have a wood base, but a completely zipped cover over a robust foam with a strap that buckled under the deat frame on the tractor. The seat back was also not a "wood stapled" type but had a plastic back and fit nicely. It even fit my bottom and back comfortably.
I went to replace it and the Speer Cushion Co. replacement was some material on a hunk of wood. It looked ok, but it was also flared out where your legs hang over the seat. It wasn't comfortable or correct looking.
Can anyone point me in the direction of the really nice ones?
Thanks,
Ethan |

Speer did my R and BG seats, the same D-lux ones and I like them alot. Wood mounted, just fit in frame kinda close to hold them in. They have a library of specs for their seats. Maybe it WAS correct, and what you had was wrong and got used to it?? |

If I remember correctly MM used to have a cover that snapped on over a piece of foam on the Jet Stars and 4 Stars, maybe more, atleast that is what the parts book showed. I think the MM cushions had a more square edge on the front but the ones they use now are more rounded. They are the same cushions used on some Massey Ferguson seats so they may be using just one cushion for both. |
