What engine did IH use in this combine? I understand it was a six cylinder. Was it one of their truck engines?

The 123 IH combine had a flathead 6 cylinder IH truck engine..The bore is 3 & 5/16" and the stroke is 4.5"..The cubic inches are 232.65..The rated horsepower at 1763 rpms is 45..

I havent heard one run in person since 1961 but I can still remember that it had a nice sound..

IH truck division (MT) had SD Silver Diamond, RD Red Diamond, BD for Black Diamond then to add to the confusion Blue Diamond. Dont know much about the details of them all. IH truck parts always amused me in parts, only company in the world that had propellor shafts on their trucks, everybody else used driveshafts.
