I am not sure but the picture in the parts manual shows them as flat topped. The pistons in a G1000 (504 engine) should be the same as the pistons in a 336 engine such as a M5 to M670 just two more cylinders. They are all 4.625" x 5" each cyl.

In general, i think most MM diesels have flat top pistons. |
