This may sound stupid, but does the knobs on a WD screw on or they press on? My knobs are all cracked & I'm wanting to replace them. Just don't want to try removing them without knowing for sure. I'm pretty sure they're screw on type tho. Keith

screw on is for the WD till they put a constant-mesh tranmission (curved shift knob) on it then the swicthed to press on for the late WD and WD-45
