I just finished a complete repaint/rebuild of my 6' finish mower. Nowhere in the manual can I find a spec for belt tension; neither by torque on the tensioner bolt nor deflection of the belt. Anyone know the proper tension?
thanks. |

Steve, you can go to the woods web site, and print off or just read the operators manual/ parts manual. It goes into good detail on belt tension. You will need to take off the lower belt guard, then you should see the belt and the little indicater, that may need losening and lube to work as they intend. The one on mine was froze up and needed some lube to work as the factory intended. Simple if you have a diagram and parts blow up. All there at the web site. Good Luck. |
