Every fall I change the fluid in the hydraulics and I get quite a bit of foamy oil.
I store the tractor under a roof so it doesn't get rained on. We use it to plow snow in the winter and for odd projects around the house during the summer. It really doesn't get much use.
why do you think the oil is getting water in it? Or is it just whipping up the oil????
Anyone have any ideas? |

How about a tractor serial number? The early Super 55 tractors held less hydraulic fluid. Later ones hold more + there was a "stand pipe" kit to increase the capacity of the early ones. |

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I don't have serial number handy, but I can say it is an early type, no stand pipe, six quarts fills it.
Also, just to note, I plow with a back blade, so I'm not using any remote attachments, just the three point.

You might want to think about having one made. It will increase pump life. |

Hummm, there is an aftermarket seat that would make the stand pipe idea tough. I'd have to switch seats also.
Please explain what this has to do with my foamy oil. Is the oil whipped? Or is there water from condensation in the oil, or a little of both. |
