Got a 281 block with bad clearancing meaning it was ground through to the water jacket ! Can it be welded up and fixed or is it junk?

Do you mean you took enough off the deck to hit the water jacket?

No I was trying to clearance for a crank so the rods would clear and at the bottom of the cylinder I ground through .it was about the size of your little finger !!!
