While I have the bed off & things are easy to get at I'm gonna replace the completely shot originals. Local parts store's basic ones are $20.00 each, mid-grade $43.00, and their best = $53.00. I pull my 12,000 lb. rated flatbed with this truck. I suppose I'd be wise to put on the best ones??

Glen I used to sell a lot of shocks, for a 1 ton I
would go with the med grade. The real cheap ones
are fine on a 1/2 ton, but the super heavy duty
shocks just screw up the ride. The top bolts are
10mm,(maybe 12mm) the easiest is replace them with
5/16 new ones. |
