Just a note to let those in the storm's path that (with God's help)and our prayers you will come through this unharmed and with minimal damage to your homes and farms. Here in Clyde,Ohio it's raining alot, wind about 20mph. Near 40mph by noon tomorrow, but I don't think we'll see anything more than rain here. Good luck everyone, you're in our thoughts and prayers. Mike

Sorry Michael.
I'm not a God Fearing Man! Earth's Evolution, and how we treat it, will determine our future. We can control Mother Nature a small amount, but If I were you ,I would lay a solid foundation to producing your staples, become less relient on financial growth, and spiritual values, and hunker down to basics. You can pray all you want, but at this point in time , most people, go the grocery store to buy all their food. It's time you started studying/worshiping, the power of Mother Nature, so you can survive.

I couldn't disagree with you more! The first couple chapters of Genesis explains just how this Earth and nature came to be.

Thanks. We pray for safety from the storm. I know that GOD is in control, but I also know that I live in a nation that has forgotten him.

Having been through to many of these here on the gulf coast, don't forget to get all of the small loose stuff outsiude tied down or put up in the house barn or garage. Childrens toys, swing set seats, lawn furniture, BBQ pits, etc. become missiles in 80-100 mph+ winds. We board up windows in our area to keep limbs, and nature's loose stuff from coming through. Glass will take straight line winds but is very brittle and breaks when solid objects (Pieces of shingles for example) hit them. Respect mother nature, be smart and you will be OK.

Here is a website that follows the winds in real time, makes for really cool graphics.
http://hint.fm/wind/
Click on the map to zoom, hold the cursor on a point to see wind speed at that location.

ACG, I consider you a good friend and am not calling you out, BUT to assume that something as complex and orderly as this creation and all that is in it is simply a result of a lightning bolt striking a pool of slime and orderly life starting and "evolving" to what we see every day around us, the beauty of the heavens on a clear dark nite, the beauty and wonder of a newborn, and many other examples of an orderly universe just shouts of the existance of a creator.

Evolution is like taking a typewriter apart, throwing it in a dryer and turning it on and coming back a few hours later and having a assembled working typewriter. Even then if that happened you would have to ask where the pieces originated from.
