Hi Everybody, I am trying to adjust the IPTO Clutch on a Case Model 430. I can't get it to release. The spring loaded pin does not seem to push in correctly in order to release the clutch adjustment plate to turn for the adjustment.
Any ideas, or diagrams from a factory manual that could help me? Clymers Manual doesn't address it very well.

Thanks much!

Trav

You pull the pin out and turn the collar and the other pin will drop in to lock it . Repeat until you have it correct.

You have the late PTO with the flat pin and scalloped washer if I am correct, I would not know why the button will not push in to release the washer. Is there pressure on it by any chance? Did you try putting something against it and gently tapping it. That PTO unit was the last of those series and if I am correct it has NO pins to pull, just push the button and turn the pto till it snaps back out in the scalloped washer. I wonder if someone has the capability of posting a pic of that unit?.

mEl here is the adjustment procedure if you think a parts breakdown would be helpful I can do that also, my other info was incorrect as I was thinking these had two lock pins like the big brother tractors I do know the last time I adjusted one it took a bit to get the adjustment to turn hope this helps a little cnt

You are correct. This one has no pins to pull. It has one round pin that is spring loaded, pushes in to release from the scalloped washer.

It should push in with little effort but does not.

A good parts diagram would be helpful.

Thanks,

Trav

Thanks,
