I have a Oliver 546, 5 bottom semi mount plow, am trying to find shares and shim for it, When i try and look it up it comes up with a 546 that is trip bottom only. Does any body have any info on this set of plows. The plows are red, but green color is under the red. Could they be a White 508. Are these 18" or 20" plows. Wher is a good place to buy parts for these plows. The plows work great.
Thanks

If there are no markings on it, it may be a White or might be a Minneapolis-Moline plow. White did that alot in the late 60's.

The shares and shins would be the same thing as a shear bolt trip or hydraulic reset. rock shares are around $45-50/each, regular shares are about $20.

Thanks for the info. My first time asking a question and you guys are a great help. Do you measure the plow share at the bootm if so it measure 20.5 " across and 3.25" wide.

I have a White parts book specifically for moldboards, shares, and other related parts.
Despite the model of the plow, you need to determine what bottom it has on it. On my Oliver plow, it is stamped in the rear center of the moldboard. For example, mine is a 619-16. Meaning it is a 619 - 16" bottom. Then, you can begin to determine the style of share and appropriate shins.
Recently, I purchased Oliver plow parts from Hedgepath Supply in Canmer, KY. You can reach them at 270-528-2133. I also have purchased from John Shea - you can reach him at john@nnalert.com - both of these folks were excellent to deal with.

[Thanks again for the info. I will check the back of the moldboard tomorrow to see if what number stamp in it. I bought them 3 year ago at a farm auction. They work great. Grew up will Oliver 880 diesel, 770 and 550. Hard to believe they did all the work to keep a 400 acre farm going. Today most farm use bigger tractor then these to rake hay.
Thanks again
The number on the moldboard is R619 16. Is there any place I can get a manuel for these plows? Are the 508 Whites the same plow as the Oliver 546?
