Make sure the length is right when you order. The cable Sparex say's is for the F-40 is wrong, 10 inches short.I have to buy a Ford cable to get right length.I've got several parts that is listed wrong from Sparex, and I'm a Sparex Dealer. Just check it close.

General speedometer cable and automotive tack cable lube is either Lubriplate (a so-called White Grease) or graphite. Arguments will abound over using Lubriplate (the only white grease i've ever used) but it is recommended in some factory manuals.

I prefer the lubriplate. Any oil type lubricant will drain off and fall into the lowest point of cable housing. But there are those that tout grphite only.
