Hello I have a 1971 ford 5000 diesel that I just replaced the
upper seal in the steering column to stop the fluid from coming
out of the steering wheel. Tractor steering did good for about
a hour and then the steering wheel locked up an it will only
turn one way. Do I need a new pump or is there something
wrong in the column or what could the problem be. Please
any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If you were just inside the column, then I would submit to you that the problem resides in the column, and not the pump, especially if it still turns one way. I would suggest you take it back apart and look for problems.
