Sound Guy... Jim here , havent been on the site in awhile
and am getting around to changing the engine in my
'62 2000 backhoe this early winter; and have had some
leaks on the front crank mounted HYD pump for the hoe/
bucket and want to cure the leaks while I have everything
apart. How can I tell what kind of pump it is , etc . ??? My
initial thoughts are to change seals , etc. however as we all
know that may not be a fix for it, entirely ! |

A lot of pumps have the company name right on them like say Vickers or Cessna etc. Just to prove my point I used the pump to spell Cessna since that pump is laying on my desk. As for rebuilding the pump many can not be rebuilt by the normal guy and many the rebuild kit cost as much or more then a replacement pump will cost |

ditto what old said. may be roight on the body of the pump.
if it's a simply sahft seal.. may not be an issue.
some pumps have front housing that get cut and are non rebuildable.
if it leaks.. pull it.. might need a trip tot he vet.. etc. |
