917.256.582
Kohler engine CV15.5S
Spec 41508
Serial 2525519324
I am guessing early 90s. It has a fuel pump. The hood is large like the silver LT1000.
I opened up the carb and was suprised to see a teflon brass needle tip and a rubber seat in the same carb.
It is not in too bad of shape if it is 20 years old.
I have changed the steering shaft support bushing on several Craftsman mowers. This is the most complicated. I could not get the assembly out of the frame even tho I had the dash, ect loose unless I removed the engine. I decided to replace the bushing with the assembly in the frame.
I am trying to figure out the age for a customer. |

Hi rrobert, the AYP / Craftsman SN should give you the year, it breaks down like this 1st 2 digits = month next 2= day and the next two= the year then in the SN there generally is letter then the number of the unit

Thanks.
It is a 1996 model.
I am still baffled by the needle and seat. I thought it was either a brass seat with a teflon needle tip or a solid needle with a rubber seat. It functions as is so I am leaving it alone. |
