hay guy was looking to buy this 8n i found. The guy says the sherman wont shift into gear right now. Never have tinkerd with one of these. What could it be?? |

To fix that your looking at a tractor split since good chance the Sherman is bad or at the least needs rebuilt. Of course you can not be 100% sure till you look at it and depending on which shifter type it has could be a bad cable |

The shermans have diffrent shifters?? I have one that has a round nob that is hooked to a cable now but what else is there?? |

Cable shifted Shermans are usually step ups. Red Rock Mfg makes a shift rod to replace the cable. |

There is probably 5-7 different ones. The 3 most common are the step down the step up and the combo which gives you over drive under drive and the standard gears. Then there are a few others but lot less common |
