Went to the Lake Goldsmith Rally today and took some photographs of IH gear on site. Everything was working and being driven throughout the day!

I think that was shiny reworked metal. The manifold heat shield was also shiney and showed signs of recent metal work. |

Thanks for the replies! Well, not too sure about the Diesel McCormick-Deering on steel; never seen one here before. The AW-6 has had various modifications to it. Several of the decals are not standard. It has a second glass water trap under the petrol tank in addition to the one under the kero tank. The grille and heat shield have been chrome plated. It has been fitted with Lucas 700 headlamps, which are 7" in diameter in place of the Lucas L-H-O originals at 5¼". It has converted to 12 volts and fitted with an alternator. It is the last month of Spring here and due to the higher than usual rain fall and the fact that Lake Goldsmith is not far East of Ballarat, there is plenty of green grass out there. Didn't see one kangaroo though! There were plenty of steam traction engines as well, most built here, but several from England. Attached are three pictures of one made in Ballarat. It is a Jelbart.
