Working on the neighbors 4490 and the 3-point will not operate. It is currently in the raised position and has been that way since they baought it. It is the electronic version instead of the good old mechanical linkage. In looking at the manual a Cas-1638-1 tester is required to test / repair. Does anyone have a good tester they would like to part with or is there a simple way just to bypass the electronics and install a cable? |

More than likely they are seized in that position. Disconnect the hoses @ the base of the cylinder & see if they drop. |

I have a 2470 and it sticks if not used regularly. I use a loader to push it down.
If it's been up for years I would put some oil on the cylinder seals.
After I quite plowing it was in the up postion for 10 years or more. |
