Thought I would share a photo of my 48 sc. I also have a 41 sc.

My 48 is still pretty original. it"s on 6 volts, has very few dents. Needs a new tool box. Mice got in it and rusted it out.

I bought this tractor in April of 1990 for $350. I bought it right off the machery jockeys truck. The manifold was rusted out and had the wrong carb. The rad cap was missing.

Two weeks later there was a farm sale not far from me with two sc tractors. One was complete and the other one was all in pieces. I bought the manifold and carb for $5.00.

Found a rad cap for sale in the newspaper of all places for $6.00!

Rebuilt the water pump with new parts from a Case dealer.

Replaced the rear tires in 92. They were $150 each. Just replaced the front tires this spring. Had a hard time finding any fronts for under $100.

I have used it a 6 or 7 times to plant 14 acres of wheat. Have had no problems. It runs really good. When I finish planting wheat the spark plugs are just as clean as new ones.

Proud lookin ol'e girl. $100.ea for the fronts is a little steep. For the pair is a good deal. New Re-pro Tool Boxes available.

Very nice. I don't often say this, but I think that one looks better in it's work cloths than it would in all new go to church cloths.
