Posted earlier to this forum about my 52 DC Eagle Hitch hydraulic problem. Got a lot of good info from a lot of good people. I am more confused and still have a Eagle hitch that doesn't go down. Is everyone sure the hoses on routed correctly?? Right side .. Filter out goes into ?? Right side remote to Top or bottom swivel?? Left side same question.. My email is open as well.
Thank you again.. |

Have you taken the square cover off the pump to make sure the valve is moving both directions?? From the pics the other nite, at first I thought they were wrong, but closer look they appear to be correct. |

I have just finished reading your old post and it sounds like you may be missing the pin that pushes the check valve open on the upper-driver's-side fitting (the one you replaced). There is an easy way to narrow it down. Switch the two upper hoses with the two lower hoses and try it again. If it works, then somthing is wrong with the upper spool. The two spools in the original SC, DC, and LA hydraulic units should be identical. However, one of the spools will probably be more worn than the other and one spool may have frozen or missing parts. Just switch them and see. |

Thanks Christopher. Thats a perfect idea. I don't plan on doing anything with the remotes they are mostly just for show. Same goes for the lifting arms I have nothing to lift but it would be cool to be able to raise and lower them. I will give that a go this evening after work.
Thanks again to everyone |

here are shots of one of mine, this one has had the hoses changed but are still in the original configuaration, top LH hose hooks to bottom of Eagle hitch cylinder, RH top hose hooks to filter housing and is a return to sump, the bottom two hoses are for a remote cylinder, the top port of the Eagle hitch cylinder hooks to hyd housing and is for lubing clylinder top end and allows Eagle hitch to float no downpressure, hope this clears things up some cnt
