I recently aquired some magazines that are titled Tractor Farming from the mid 1940's. Can anyone tell me if this was published by IH for customers ? It seems that all the advertising in them is IH. I would like to find more info about these,if anyone can shed some light.
Thanks |

Yeah, Tractor Farming was an International Harvester publication. While it definately was an advertising paper, it had a lot of very useful information from time to time for farmers throughout the UDA. |

Yes, my folks got a free (I think) subscription because they owned several Farmalls. As a kid I found it very interesting-wish they hadn't been thrown away along with most of the other tractor info I got from the dealer, and then tossed when I left home. I thought I was leaving Farmall forever. |

Yes it was a published by IH for IH customers it was the first publication devoted exclusively to farming with tractors. They started publishing tractor farming in the 1920's, before that they published what was called IHC Almanac, they published tractor farming into the 1960's at some point it was changed to the IH farm forum. I am slowly trying to collect a complete set as funds allow |
