My 10 HP B&S engine model # 243431 from an AC Big Ten garden tractor cnnecting rod shattered. I purchased a std new connecting rod but is larger than the crankpin diameter. The counterweight has # R20 stamped in the casting. Does this mean this is a .20 undersize crankshaft? I appreciate any advice. Thanks. Marion Turpin |

The crankpin diameter is 1.3114 new, so if you measure the crankpin, it should tell you if it has been turned .020. Depending on the machine shop, most will put .020 on the counerwieght if turned. the correct part number for a standard rod is a 299080, thowing that out to make sure you got the correct rod |
