Is there a serial no. on the McCormick-Deering 100
spreader? If so, where would it be located?. Does
anyone have parts to sell for them? I could use an
Arch that isn't all bent up like mine. Also would
like to find a good used set of 5.50-16 tires with
tractor lugs preferably near Wisconsin. |

If you're talking about the arch that goes above the beaters, just make one out of some 4 inch channel iron. Make the uprights & cut the upper ends at a 45 degree angle & then cut the cross piece to length with 45's on each end. Weld & then bolt to the sides. |

I don"t believe there was ever serial #"s on the spreaders. I"ve had multiple #200 spreaders. I"ve been over every inch of one of them and no serial #"s to be found. Parts are out there put a ad out on here and you can more than likely find what you need. A parts spreader may be a better option. I picked up a #200 for $50 and got all the parts I needed and an impressive emergency parts supply and about quadrupled my money on it. Lastly just go to a farm tire shop and order some traction implement tires. |

None of the ones I have sold had any serial numbers on them. You may get lucky and see if you can come across those tires on a New Idea 45-G or 47 hay rake. They used 5:50x16"s on the front drive axle. |

Good luck on finding those 5.50 X 16 tires!! I ended up puttingg 6.00 X 16 tires on mine. I got the bar tread tires through a local tire dealer. Turned out they were the exact same ones that Miller Tire has, but cheaper through the local dealer and that included mounting them. I had found some used 5.50X 16 tires before I got the new ones, but the beads were shot on them and they would not stay on the rim if you put more than about 10 psi air in them. |
