Looking for break down of this American Bosch pump. It is leaking fuel around the head of the pump and was wondering if this pump has to be taken off and sent to a pump repair shop. thanks |

Leaking around the head of pump usually requires the housing be replaced as they get a groove worn in them and then a new o-ring will not seal. You would need pump completely gone through.
To remove pump, remove the side cover, four screws, turn engine until mark comes around on gear, then turn a little more until timing mark lines on hub up with pointer which is under front pump cover. That will be about 18 degrees before tdc on front pulley. |
