My 8N remains a 6 volt positive ground system. I'd like to put a trickle charger on the battery for the cold weather. Are 6 volt chargers available or can you use a 12 volt charger, and if so, what is the procedure? Thanks. |

Plenty of 6v float chargers are available. I use the 'Battery Tender' brand.

No you have to use a 6 volt charger and yes they are available as a 6/12 volt charger. Make sure it's on the 6 volt setting, and set it at 2 amps. Chargers with a 6 volt setting are available, you may have to do a little looking.
