this evening we'r tring too roll up milo/straw stubble bales without any luck the windrow enters the bale chamber but will not spin the beginning of the bale the fodder seems too slick maybe? also trying an 850 NH it would do it yesterday but doesn't want too roll today. any suggestions ? have 90 acers too do but only 15 winrowed now thanks pj

Get your neighbor with textured belts on his baler to roll it up for you....

The 850 will do it if you can catch it a touch damp and start the core with the engine at a complete idle. I grew up with an 850 and still hate them to this day.

That JD 510 would rarely if ever start the stuff you are trying to bale.

You need to get an open throat baler with good diamond pattern belts.

A JD 535 or new would do it with good belts. Vermeer 605J or newer would do well too.
