Do you have recommendations for Farmall rim paint color codes? I have been using NAPA urethane, and would prefer that if possible. |

Pretty much whatever suits you. Most were galvanized, not painted originally. I used Silver Argent from C/IH for mine. Liked the color, you can possible get the codes from someone to swap over to Napa urathane. |

CaseIH has a rim paint that looks much like the original rims. Its about 20 dollars a quart and goes on well with a brush. Just did the rims, front and back, inside and out with two coats on an H with some left over for touchups. Just remembered, the color is called Argent. Joe |

Thanks Joe, will pick up some from CIH. That is much easier than trying to match codes. |

Coincidentally GM used a silver on their Corvette wheels for many years called "Argent Silver" It's pretty much same color as the IH but would come in UR. But I have done 4 sets of rims using the IH Argent silver with hardener, and they look the same now 8 years later. |

PPG 8568 urethane can be crossed to NAPA, better than the CaseIH paint. |

David, Not originally my idea but I have seen some of the others on this and a couple of other Farmall Boards use Rustoleum Hammered Silver. Not quite as good as the more expensive paints, but for my Super M, its like Dell says on the Ford Board--its a 20/20 paint job--at 20 feet and 20mph--looks great!! Steve

I have had about the same experiance as Gordo. I did a pair 7 years ago and they sat outside for a couple after that and they still look just fine. |
