Went to an auction today. An older bachelor died back in July. He had a bunch of real good equipment.
JD 926 Mo-Co Impeller $8500
JD 6600 & JD 444 1900 hrs
diesel, Gear drive $5500
JD 3950 forage harvester, 2 row wide corn head
5 ft. hay head $4750
JD 980 23 ft. field cultivator $15,000
CIH 3950 22 ft. disk ( new condition) $24,500
JD 3020 diesel, WF, console,
engine overhauled $10,750
JD 2755 2wd, open station 1192 hrs $20,000
JD 2955 2wd, open station 3200 hrs. $15,000
JD 2955 Mfwd, JD 740 Loader 4700 hrs. $20,000

combine sure looks like a bargain, especially with those hours, I know the big boys have no use for them but a real good sized machine for a few hundred acre hobby farm |

The 2755 and 2955 appear a little high on price for around here, especially being 2wd. The hours are low, were they real clean?

The JD 2755 had the hydrostatic steering not the drag link system. Plus it had the heavy cast rear wheels. Then it also had the deluxe JD SCVs not the cheap no name ones. Then it looked like new setting there.
All of the tractors at this sale looked like new. |
