I bought a new trailer, and had a bad vibration. When I got home I jack it up and found three out of the eight were out of round. The tires are Doubleking Dk688. Are these tires junk? |

All Trailer Tires are JUNK they are Mostly made in China even the Best GoodYear Marathon trailer tires are now made in China and JUNK. Sold These for years and blow one on our trailer with less than 400 miles. The vibration may go away after you run it enough to get them hot. Part of the vibration is how they ship the banded flat to a pallet about 25-100 to a bundle / bale that does the shape wonders They do not even try to balance trailer tires or rims |

Ok, thanks for the info. I did put 500 miles on it,and it was no better. I will try to see if the manufacture will do something for me. But that sucks the the good old USA doesn't make a trailer tire! I guess if I cep it at 60mph I might get lucky, but maybe not! |

Carlisle Tires are made in the USA (I think).
After two blowouts, I junked my Chinese made trailer tires and replaced with Carlisle trailer tires.(made specifically for trailers). I've heard complaints about them too, but I've had very good luck with them. They're F rated, and hold 95 lbs. of air. Truck pulls easy with them. |

I would find LT truck tires that size. They come in D, E, and F load/ply rating. |

I have switched to a brand called Load Stars from eastern marine supply on the east coast. Seem to do well around here in VA at least. |
