I noticed yesyerday that the rear tires on my 51 8n are getting in pretty rough shape. What should I expect to pay for replacements? What about used? |

I let mine run til they literally fall apart.
expect to pay around 300 per side plus tubes..
.. cheap brand.
used? sometiems you luck up and get good used, on rims for 100-150$ maybee even centers if you are lucky.
I bought a full set of rubber off an 8n.. rims and centers and all for like 250$ a year or so back. made great spares.. |

Depends on what you buy. I bought two 12.4x28 turf tires on new rims from Tucker Tire. Cost a little over $1000 (including shipping). I ran my old tires until one began to split in half in the center of the tread. It was a cheap, no-name tire. The Goodyear from the other side was still good. Both tires looked about the same when I bought the 2N about 20 years ago. |

Rough tires??? I have a set of rear tires on one machine I have and was told well over 15 years ago I needed to replace them and they are still being used like they are. Yes they are rough but still hold the tube in and the tube still holds air so I leave them as is. New tires can be in the ball park figure of $400 each give or take a good bit of $$ Used you can buy them cheap or high all depends on how good or bad they are |

I HAD a pair of 13.6x28 turfs mounted on 6 loop rims and foam filled. I asked $700. gone!

Doesn't help you but that is the market that I've been in. |

Not sure where you're at, but location obviously plays a part.
I watch the local CraigsList ads and find them listed on there quite often.
I got a great deal on this matched pair of 11.2 x 28 Firestones this summer for $350.
They were mounted on Case rims, so I had to swap them over to my rims.
I also found a Goodyear 13.6 x 28 in about the same shape mounted on a
junk Allis Chalmers PA rim for $100. Just one though.
I'm in central Michigan.
