|
|
I"ve broke 3 cleaning fan shafts in as many years on my 4400. My JD dealer says it"s because the pulley sheaves aren"t together (on fan shaft) when I put on the belt and increase the RPM turning the knob which closes the sheaves on the driver pulley on the countershaft-loads the shaft. I notice some vibration on the countershaft pulley but they say that"s normal. A new countershaft isn"t that expensive but might be hard to remove all the other pulleys off both sides - torching. How much wobble is tolerable? |
