Well after narrowing it down to fuel or carb problem, I decided to cheat and swapped carbs off a good running 8n I put up for the winter just last wkend, hooray it ran great now I have till spring to rebuild a carb. Thought I did a good job of cleaning it,so much for thinking. Thanks Dell and Bruce for your help.Oh I did buy AL437 plugs today I will put em on the shelf till next time. again thanks for the help Dell and Bruce. |

I just rebuilt carbs on my 9 and 8Ns. Made a huge difference in how they start and run. Gary (known here as GB in MT) was a great help as I worked through the first one, the second was a breeze. Just have to clean up the wiring connections on the 9N and I'll be ready to go for the winter, have already done tune-ups and fluid changes. |
