It should fit all JD 4 cyl utility tractors built in Dubuque/Mannheim factories.

There were both Waterloo and Dubuque/Mannheim frame mounts for the same 146 loader.
Info is on the JD web site parts list.
The hydraulic connections on a Dubuque/Mannheim have to be correct or the loader operates slow and with noisy shudders.

Hey, B&D, I think my 2040 has a 148 on it. All the decals have been scraped off. On a cold start-up, the fel shudders when I raise it. What are the proper connections you refer to?

Glen
Could you please post the page number that a Waterloo tractor is referred to in the 146 PC??????????? I saw no place that Waterloo was mentioned. These are the footnotes on the bottom of a mounting listing.
(A) With roll guard(B) without roll guard

(C) Tractor with sound guard body(D) Tractor without sound guard body(E) With heavy duty axle

(F) These frames fit all 4 cylinder tractors except sound-guard body

This is definitely not Waterloo 28 - Tractor to Loader Control Valve ( - 027000)

And neither is this.29 - Tractor to Loader Control Valve (027001 - )

146 had 2 bucket cylinders but a 48 had 1 bucket cyl.

I'll take a look tonight but would be surprised if there was not
both Waterloo and Mannheim/Dubuque mounts for the 146.
Just about every other loader shared mounts.

Loader control valve oil supply needs to be T'd into the rockshaft/SCV supply line.
Loader return oil must be returned to a ported transmission oil filter cover.
Otherwise the SCV's will be tied up and not available for use. Worse the front oil pump will be starved for supply oil which causes cavitation.
The loader will operate faster and smoother when properly connected.

Loader that JD engineers deemed to be constructed heavy enough for hp had mounts for both Waterloo and utility tractors but NOT ALL loaders were built that way.

Took some looking but.........

The 148 loader uses the same mast PN # AW16036

The model 148 loader mounts to Waterloo tractors
with frame #'s AW16346 and AW16347

That mast # AW16036 also fits a 145 loader BUT that doesn't indicate that JD engineers intended or designed the ""frame mounts on a 145/146 loader"" to work on a Waterloo rowcrop tractor.
