Kinda starnge here too. Nothing ever happens.....now there had been a murder (this past summer) and several "shots fired" calls in our county.

We had one ten miles from here the other day where a guy was set up and ambushed. A girl was stopped along the road, waving her arms. The guy stopped. She was all over him saying "thank you",said she didn't have a cell phone. A pickup whipped up behind them, two guys got out and coldcocked him. Kicked the crap out of him, tried to stab him,cut his coat. The girl started her car and took off while all this was happening. They emptied his wallet and left.

Many years ago a girl pulled up along side me at a red light and asked me if I wanted a stereo. I said, Ummm...No. I think that would have happened is that once my car was stopped a couple of goons would have robbed me or car jacked me. I should have called the cops.

Twice now in the past 2 or 3 weeks coming home late at night I have seen someone on the side of the road waving there arms for help. Hate to leave anybody stranded but you just don't know. My dad was jumped like that 30 some years ago. Car with the hood up late at night and a women flagged him down. Two guys come out of the ditch. Got his wallet. It was found couple of weeks later in saginaw. From then on he carried his money in his shirt pocket.

If they have any clues, they haven't said yet. The guy said the girl was early 20,black hair with a purple streak, driving a 90s white Taurus. The guys looked rough,"cracked out" was the description, driving a silver extended cab pickup. Like there's only one of those around here.

People think this all new stuff, when we moved to ranch in
Loomis, CA. In 1943 there was a big yellow two story house
on the main road next to our property. I was told that the kid
came home and kill the family then toss the bodies into the
hand dug well. That house was empty most of the time I lived
there about 20 years except for a few months when a family
rented it then up and left real fast.
Another big 3 story mansion up on a hill on the way into town
where the owner hung himself in the attic in the 1929 stock
crass. It was empty all the time that I lived there an I was told it
had been that way since 1929.
People won't live in place where people were murdered or
died in unusual circumstances. And all this in a town of only
350.

I just texted a co-worker this evening here in Illinois just 30 miles East of St. Louis, Mo. I told him the St. Louis News is getting worse ever day it seems like. It reminds me of the news I heard when I was in NY 30 years ago when I visited an uncle of mine there. Personally I think drugs plays a very big part in crimes like this! Sometimes it's initiation for new gang members. It's very sad when something like this happens.

Living in the country sometimes makes you vulnerable
because of the lack of witnesses.

It's the very reason I carry a Kahr .380 on me at all times.
