I have found a Ford Tractor, 1700 that I am considering buying. I need to know what the lifting capacity of the front bucket. I also need to find a pair of forks that I can install either on the bucket, or in lieu of the bucket. Does anyone have any suggestions?

That should be a model 770 loader, which has a 700 pound lift capacity. But before buying, take a good hard look at parts availability (and price)... I'd avoid any model from that series myself, unless it was absolutely dirt cheap.

In the research that I"ve done since posting my question, I got the same warning about $/Parts.
I have taken your warning and eliminated that unit from my list...thanks for the advice.
