The "squeak" is a miss-fire that is occurring intermittently. I used to think that was "normal" N behavior but a couple months ago britcheflee doggedly chased the condition using the advise on this site and his own sleuthing ability to determine a cause and correction....for the life of me I don't remember the fix (I'm afflicted with CRS) but maybe someone here will chime in with it. |

Have you run it without the fan belt? That would rule out genny or water pump or loose belt. |

I quess I should have mentioed , the sqeak is not coming from the motor , it is coming somewhere from the PTO shaft at the rear of the tractor . I'm not concerned about the squeak , like I say , who cares?

No Lisa , I didn't rebuild the motor, the motor was seized and hadn't run for 26 yrs, I just filled the cylinders with ATF and kept working the pistons until they came free , everyday about an hour for about 2 weeks. Thanks for asking.
