Will a 986 pull a 5 shank glenco soil saver disc chisel and do a good job? has 4 inch twisted shovels and will be pulled in good black soil. also i think that i won't be able to use duals as it will be too wide for the chisel plow? |

Are your tires loaded? Weights? You should be fine just adjust your speed accordingly. I've pulled a 7 shank with a 1066 quite a bit and well weighted down. Our soil is very heavy. |

A five shank soil saver around here would be fine with a 986. On generally lighter soil it would handle a seven shank unit. |

Used to pull a 7 shank Landoll chisel plow with a 966 duals, front weights and 2 sets of rear weights with tires loaded here in NE ILL and it handled it very well. |
